Dish Network Digital Satellite TV Systems

Dish Network is the first and only company to offer up to 500 channel choices and local channels via satellite in most areas.

The engineering team at Microcom has done extensive testing of the new Dish Network digital satellite systems and we have found them to be the most advanced, reliable and user friendly on the market. Dish Network offers a lot more channels for the money, including international channels and HDTV, plus many other choices not offered by the competition.

We offer all the current models, but we do not offer discontinued models or refurbished receivers that you may see elsewhere. There are some important differences between the basic systems and the top of the line models. You and your family will use and enjoy the system you choose for many years, so please, take time to study the information carefully.

The DP 311 Dish Pro 311 Receiver
The Dish Pro 311 slim line is a great basic receiver with an IR remote control. It has S-Video and a set of RCA jacks for audio and video, plus a coaxial output. IR Blast controls your VCR and allows you to schedule up to 10 events for automatic recording or viewing. If you select record, the blaster tells your VCR to record and stop when the program is over. Your VCR never has to be programmed again - it can be a little idiot the rest of it's life. OTR automatically tells your VCR to record when a program starts and stop when it's over. Movies or any other programs, scheduled one time, every week day, or every day. This is a fantastic feature! Wake up to the news every day, or record a series that only comes on while you're at work, or make your own movie collection. The IR remote controls 4 components - VCR, TV, etc.. You can create 4 custom guides with up to 30 channels each. When listening to the CD music channels, the song titles are shown on the screen. Great as a system, or second receiver.

DP 510 DVR
The Dish Pro 510 DVR has Dolby Digital and a UHF remote that work from other rooms. The Personal Video Recorder (PVR) has an 80 gig hard disk that allows up to 60 hours of recording on the Hard Disk. You can even skip commercials. We suggest you read the product review very carefully before deciding on a system.

DP34 Switch
DP34 SWITCH
FOR MORE THAN TWO DISHPRO RECEIVERS

The new Dish 500 systems come with a DP Twin LNB. To connect more than two DP receivers to the DP Twin LNB you will need to order the DP34 switch listed on our order form.

The DP34 switch allows you to connect up to 4 DP receivers and the second 18 inch dish with the DP single LNB for HDTV and International channels. All the receivers will be able to receive programming from all three satellites. You can actually stack the DP-34 switches to connect up to 12 receivers, with or without the second dish. This is less expensive than adding the DP Quad LNB and offers more. The standard LNB's will not work with the DP-34 switch.

Note: The standard Twin and Quad LNB look identical to the Dish Pro LNB's but they don't have DP or DishPro printed on them. All receivers will work fine with the standard LNB's and various switches, but to use a receiver other than a DP311, DP501, DP508, DP510 or DP721 with a DP LNB, you need a DP adapter.

Note: Read the Q&A on the Technical Help link at the bottom for more information.

Two Receiver Systems
To watch different Satellite channels on different TV's at the same time you need multiple receivers. A service fee of $5 per month is charged for each additional receiver. Dual tuner receivers are not subject to this charge.
